Did he show such zeal when Clinton was wearing an Air Force jacket?

"The sight of President Bush in a 101st Airborne Division jacket this week, surrounded by troops, really irked me. There he was, the Chicken-Hawk-in-Chief, wearing the Screaming Eagle patch of a division that fought and died in Vietnam. I wonder how many troops standing with him felt the irony.....You just have to laugh at the media's sudden concern about the military! The last I heard, W didn't express his loathing for the military in writing and in actions as did this buttboy's heroes who vacated the White House.

This is so cool may they start pouring gasoline on themselves then, ask me for a match.

Bob Keeler at Newsday:THE SIGHT OF President George W. Bush in a 101st Airborne Division jacket this week, surrounded by troops, really irked me. There he was, the Chicken-Hawk-in-Chief, wearing the Screaming Eagle patch of a division that fought and died in Vietnam. I wonder how many of the troops standing with him felt the irony.
Of the possible stances toward the Vietnam War - such as accepting induction (which my brother and I did) or avoiding the draft as a matter of conscience (which we should have done) - Bush and others like him took the least honorable: not opposing the war, but not serving either. Bush chose to defend his home state in the Texas Air National Guard. Vice President Dick Cheney did no military service at all.
This is useful history to remember now, when Bush and Cheney, long past draft age themselves, are mouthing macho rhetoric in the struggle against terrorism. Apparently they're more willing to put young Americans in harm's way than they were willing to put themselves. They should temper their rhetoric to match their record - and refrain from wearing the patches of combat units.

The Newsday writer invoked his own Vietnam service to justify his Bush resentment, which begs the question: How did he manage to keep all that vituperation under wraps for eight years while a bona-fide Vietnam-era draft dodger repeatedly sent U.S. armed forces into harms way with little or no justification? I wasn't with the 101, but flew with the 82nd as a dog handler in Vietnam. (Also worked with Americal and 1/5th). I'm very proud of President Bush and only wish LBJ had the jeuvos and brains of the current CIC and staff have!

I also seem to remember Hitlary telling us that those fine men and women, who served in Viet Nam, were "not our best and brightest".

Donna Shalala also said that, didn't she? The Clintons were also well-known for their hateful treatment of military personnel in the White House. It went right down to darling little Chelsea. What a scourge on humanity was let loose in those people.

How did you do it, Limbacher? I mean, you were probably right up there on the front lines with Algore ... giving and taking hot lead, hell-bent for leather ... taking hills with a knife in your teeth and a gernade in each hand. What was it like, Limbacher? Please tell all. I have a real thirst for knowledge.

Let's not forget the fighter jets that joined to protect AF-1 in the skies after the first terrorist attacks were from the same wing that Bush 43 served in.

To Hell with the liberal-left-wing media. Every time a swipe at President Bush is taken, his support soars higher, if that's possible!
