Forgive me for interrupting your very important thoughts and profound wisdom, but we are in the midst of the most exciting fundraiser ever on FreeRepublic. I would hate for any of you to miss it!

Come visit us at Freepathon Holidays are Here Again: Let's Really Light Our Tree This Year - Thread 6

and be a part of something that is larger than all of us.

Alone, we are a voice crying in the wilderness. Together we are a force for positive action!

Don't be left out!

Be one who can someday say..................... "I was there when..................."

Thank you to everyone who has already come by and become a part!

How about starting FreeDrivel.com, for all the lonely souls out there?

Well, you already have a name for your new forum now, so why don't you get busy and quit whining about a problem you have that is totally self-inflicted. Most rational people don't hang around unwanted company so why are you still here, ranting with your monotonous gripe? Glutton for punishment or simply a loser ?????????

Better yet, why not take your complaint to the management. The obvious success of the recent fundraiser tells us Jim Robinson must be doing something right. He might give you a few pointers.

There was indeed an Ima Hogg - she was a Houston-area socialite and charity benefactress - but the existence of Eura has been disproven.

Still, "Ima Hogg" is a great name.

I see your Uriah Wesley, and I raise you my aunt Albertina Alaska. Her sister was named Rosebud. Honest to God.

if we started suggesting names like Shaneequa (sp?)

With names like Shaneequa, "sp?" doesn't matter.

The worst name of an individual I knew personally - Aarley Odle, a high school classmate.

Being the kind, compassionate souls teenagers tend to be, we pronounced his first name with a gutteral, pirate-like "ARRRrrrrrrrrr".

Ura Scholar. I checked on the Internet and found many sites agreeing with you about Ima Hogg but arguing against Ura, Eura, and Hesa. I remember reading that there were two daughters, so that shows how long a bad piece of information can lie dormant in a brain. Call me Morolytus, destroyed by fools.
