London's Sunday People tabloid reported this weekend that the former Beatle may have only a week to live.
Citing a family friend, the paper said Harrison's wife, Olivia, and son, Dhani, have been told he could slip away "at any time." Harrison has even lost interest in eating, the paper said.
No Luck With Radical Procedure
Harrison, 58, left New York's Staten Island University Hospital last week after undergoing an experimental type of radiosurgery. That process reportedly did not stop Harrison's brain tumor from spreading. He flew from New York to UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles to treat his inoperable malignancy with the more conventional chemotherapy.
Harrison is said to be weak and near the end of his life. But Sunday People said the rock star is not giving up.
"George is fighting to the end," the paper quoted the friend as saying.
Both Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr both reportedly visited Harrison at Staten Island University Hospital last week.

Death Watch Part II I guess. With John and Ringo going out to be with him, it does sound even more grim this time. It's very sad to see Harrison to be suffering so much.

Yikes I would wonder if John would be there, sort of in spirit.

Oops. I meant Paul. Notice that Yoko didn't visit though. Why do I hate that woman so much?

Oh my gosh! How will western civilization survive without George Harrison? I'll tell my boss - maybe we should close for the day out of respect. Has the president made a statement about this yet? Where's Dick Cheney?
After all we've been through recently, and now this.

This is very sad. Very very sad. Hard to believe that one of the youthful mop-tops I loved when I was a little kid could be near death. Paul was my favorite (the cute one) but I loved them all and of course they were musical geniuses.

Why do I hate that woman so much? Let me count the ways for you. Because....,
she is an arrogant, opportunistic, no-talent, ignorant,
shallow, phony, annoying B!t*h!
Have I left anything out? ;o)

Have I left anything out? ;o) How about the early 70's Mike Douglas Show appearance with John where she showed her three-minute "movie" of a fly crawling over a human body.
I have to say, it was worth it to see Mike smile and applaud in that special vacant way ;-)
John certainly has to be demoted from genius status for marrying her.

I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps.
Look at you all . . .
Still my guitar gently weeps.

Let's not forget the greatest of all the Harrison songs...
Let me tell you how it will be,
There's one for you, nineteen for me.

It really is shocking to realize that rock bands you grew up with are now entering old age. Most of the musicians I listened to as a kid are entering their 60s right now. Elvis would be getting ready to turn 67 if he was still alive. He'd qualify for the senior citizen discount at Denny's.
Think of this. A week from Saturday will be the 21st anniversary of John Lennon's assassination. If you had a child who was born that year, he/she would be 21 years old right now! I can remember December 8, 1980 very vividly. I was watching MNF (the Pats were playing) and Howard Cosell broke the news. I immediately turned on the radio and virtually every station on the dial was playing Beatles music. I wonder if it will be the same if and when George passes from the scene.

That's not funny.

I preferred the "Traveling Wilburys" to the Beatles -& thought Roy Orbison and George complimented each other nicely -
Prayers to him - despite his politics

He really did. Paul plays the lead guitar part on it, though.

The Art of Dying
by George Harrison
There'll come a time when all of us must leave here
Then nothing sister Mary can do
Will keep me here with you
As nothing in this life that I've been trying
Could equal or surpass the art of dying
Do you believe me?
There'll come a time when all your hopes are fading
When things that seemed so very plain
Become an awful pain
Searching for the truth among the lying
And answered when you've learned the art of dying
But you're still with me
But if you want it
Then you must find it
But when you have it
There'll be no need for it
There'll come a time when most of us return here
Brought back by our desire to be
A perfect entity
Living through a million years of crying
Until you've realized the Art of Dying
Do you believe me?
