CNBC "Hardball" host and Democratic Party insider Chris Matthews said Saturday that New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton can't wait to become president of ther United States.

"She's dyin' for it," Matthews told NBC's Tim Russert, on Russert's own weekend CNBC interview show.

RUSSERT: What about your fellow Goldwater groupie Hillary Clinton?

MATTHEWS: Ah, you know, you're a New Yorker, a New York stater - um - Hillary is dyin' for it. But she's also miserable right now because of all this patriotic stuff going on - she can't stand it.

Matthews recalled an incident where Mrs. Clinton seemed reluctant to pledge allegiance to the American flag.

"I remember Hillary - I'll tell you this about Hillary," Matthews told Russert. "She once said, 'I pledge allegiance to the America that can be.'

"What, are we on probabtion?,' Matthews exclaimed.

"When is she gonna lighten up about this sort of thing," the CNBC host added. "This is a great place instead of her constant complaining."

This woman sincerely loathes this country.
I honestly believe if she were alone in Arlington National Cemetery she would spit on every single cross marking a grave.

But I think her aspiration to become President will prove futile. As more and more of our citizens are finally seeing her for what she really is.

D'amato? No thanks. I'm tired of the the same old faces, same old groups, same old solutions. Also, tired of Neo-Conservatives.

I believe Hillary is just "laying low" for the time being, until this war stuff blows over. When she comes back, she'll come back with a vengeance.

She is biding her time and consolidating her power within the Democratic party. They will elevate her to savior sometime between now and the 2004 election. Who but Hillary has national name recognition and can galvanize the troops for liberal causes?

-------------------

You have it exactly. For the moment she must be silent while she continues to campaign quietly.

The first three words of the headline would have been sufficient for me.

When I saw the "Hillary 'Dying'" I thought it was news. The race in 2004 will be between Dem Hillary and Repub McCain. Think this is unlikely? Just wait and see! McCain will be THE candidate to help Hillary get to the WH. As for Bush, well, he is a zero year prez and alot can happen in three years.

I may be wrong in my analysis. But Matthews wants to draw an audience. One of the best techniques for establishing credibility is to behave in a way that appears antithetical to one's perceived bias. Matthews is perceived as a liberal. He can attempt to accomplish 2 things by saying he voted for Bush, or by actually voting for Bush: (1) increase credibility, and (2) increase viewership among conservatives while not losing liberals. Matthews' voting for Bush in no way suggests to me that he is no longer a flaming liberal. It is a self-serving ploy, as far as I'm concerned. I don't trust the little b*tch!

Hitchens hates clinton because clinton left his firt campaign to go to arkansas to preside over the excecution of ricky ray rector, the retarded man. hitchens says that e did that to prove that he was tough on crime. to get elected. i heard hitchens say that.

I'm telling you, if she runs and the Republicans have a weak candidate she'll win. I can't explain it and if it happens it will make me an alcoholic.

You are absolutely correct in my opinion as well. Look at how her hubby got election then re-elected . I'd be sorely tempted to join you at the liquor store if she gets in too - this country is FINISHED if she does.

In '96, following a first term of scandal, women voted 53% for Clinton, and 38% for Dole. These same women voted for Reagan twice in the '80's in higher percentages than men did!

Well, I am woman and this is a guesstimate on my part...these results reflect an ever-growing crop of young females raised in gov't school and society that pushes socialism and a "sugar daddy" government approach/control to taking care of them for their entire lives (cradle to grave). You are also looking at a generation that are the children of the 60's and didn't (in my opinion) have the type of parents that came before them either - lack of morals, personal responsibility, etc. It's going to get worse. I would have used to guessed that women would NOT elect Hillary however I saw a woman practically orgasmaic over her at the park recently (a welfare mother of course! they talk a lot!) She was literally glassy-eyed when speaking in reverent tones about "the smartest woman in the world" . Gag.

hillary clinton is a stinking lump of excrement from the lowest form of life on earth. She resides in a dank, fetid sewer of human filth and degradation, wallowing in the putrescent muck and bodily waste of other low forms of life

No need to hold back at a time like this. BTW I agree.

LOL...there is hope! When the stupid people with little political sense begin to see the light, you know there is hope! I can't begin to tell you how many people I know voted for Clinton (and repeated the media spin word for word) without spending an ounce of time examining the issues. People are basically lazy and want things handed to them. That is why the media has been so powerful with this issue. Disgusting! BUT! There is hope! ;)
