The FL Dems are continuing to attack Katherine Harris who is running for the seat being vacated by the retiring Congressman Dan Miller. Here's her spirited response....
Go Katherine Go!

Thanks, Julie, for posting this!
Katherine was OUR hero, sticking to the letter of the law every step of the way,
and is in a class all by herself.
Having grown up in Florida and having two sons living there, I do hope she is elected to Congress.
There are few, men or women, her equal.
If katherineisgreat is, as I suspect, actually the real one, we *SALUTE* you!!

In a democracy, no one (i.e., Katherine Harris) should make an arbitrary decision that determines the winner of a presidential election.
The fact that a group (i.e., the US Supreme Court) ultimately made the decision as to who won the election is what our democracy is all about.

The press, democratics, al gore, etc. COULDN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH so they tried to steal the election the only way they knew how. Ms. Harris followed the law and was blasted for it.

Unfortunately, these days, following the law is a rare enough event to qualify one for "hero" status!
To: JulieRNR21; katherineisgreat
Well, okay..:)))
I'll salute her anyway for good judgment! LOL

To: katherineisgreat
I was just wondering the age....
I was hearing that she was 39, 41, 45, etc. in the past. Well, now we know.

Twelve months later, Mr. Lyons and the Dems STILL don't know what the law in Florida was, STILL don't want to take responsibility for their flawed post-election strategy, STILL want to blame Mrs. Harris for coming up short, and STILL want to argue that a conspiracy cost them the election.
Harris was put into a no-win situation: the only thing she could do was to follow the law. This fact puts her on the proper side of history for all time. Note that the Dems who ran the operations (that's a good terms to use, it seems) in Broward and Palm Beach counties went out of their way to circumvent the law. So I suppose that these people - lawtwisters and lawbreakres - are Mr. Lyons' heros.
People who uphold the law in spite of the consequences are the heros. So Mrs. Harris isn't a 'hero' in those Lyons' eyes for one simple reason. Gore lost.
