Sneaky wife caught out by speed camera

A Derbyshire wife banned by her husband from driving his car was caught out when she was pictured by a speed camera.

Carlo Chiarella ordered her not to drive his £20,000 new Shogun company car in case she pranged it.

But wife Amanda was snapped behind the wheel having a sneaky drive while Carlo was away on business.

He protested his innocence when a speeding ticket came through the post, until he saw the photographic evidence - with Amanda behind the wheel.

The Shogun has the number plate W1FEY, reports The Sun.

Carlo, 37, said: "She was caught doing 55mph in a 40 limit. Her face was a picture when I showed her the evidence.

"She had a fit of embarrassed giggles and told me I had better put the handcuffs on. I can laugh now but I know who's paying the fine.

Amanda, 36, said: "Carlo was away for a few days so I couldn't resist taking the Shogun for a spin.

"The W1FEY plate gets lots of stares and I felt like the bee's knees. But I must have got carried away."

Is it me, or should the author be examining the "W1FEY" plate and the husband?

I think that pranging in a car must break one of the 10 Commandments.

Poor Carlo was probably gobsmacked to learn that Amanda disobeyed his orders!

I don't know, but it sounds like it would be unlawful in Georgia.

Carlos should be thankful she wasn't shagging in the car, certainly breaking one of the 10 commandments.

Actually, Georgia courts have ruled that it depends on whether you are the prang-or or the prang-ee.

Why would his company issue him a car with a "W1FEY" plate, or why would the man order a "W1FEY" plate if he was not going to let his wife drive the car? Inquiring minds want to know!

I don't know about the rest of you, but Mrs. copycat has pretty much never done anything she's been "ordered" to do.
