"It's time to bring it to a close, and perhaps this might serve as a catalyst to do just that," Daschle said.

Go crawl back under your rock.

I have a 4.5 pound male Yorky that wants to probe everything furry in sight, just like the ex-42. I wonder if the ex will compete with my dog as well? After all, nothing is safe from ex-42!

By the way, wasn't his probe identified in court by several women?

I think Rudy has already held that post.
Could be this scenario: Rudy ends up as head of Homeland Defense.
Andy Card runs for Gov.
Ridge takes Card's place
Rudy takes Ridge's place.

Who takes over for White ? Who knows...but Chillery & Chuckie have right of first refusal.

Bush does not want the Clintons to get into trouble? What is going on here? Hillary needs to be recalled and Bill sent to Cuba.

The case could be that before the Clinton regime finally got the hell out of the White House - they had time to destroy enough evidence that a court case couldn't be failed.
(or the case might be that the Clinton hold-overs might have destroyed evidence - that now makes it hard for a case to be brought)

If it is correct that Hilliary and Chuck have the right of "first refusal" the nomination of Rudy would be very interesting.

Mary Jo kept her job for the entire 2001 year to conclude a number of sensitive cases and work in process.

What specific work did she complete and what specific cases did she resolve ?
