You think the programs are bad, what about the commercials? If you notice every time there is a MAN AND A WOMAN, on a commercial, the man is portrayed as a lazy slob, the big kid, worthless, a lyre, never knows the right product to buy (he usually uses product x,you know, the wrong one), and every other sexist stereo type you can imagine. On the other hand, women are impeccably dressed in business atire, knows the right product to use (the product of the sponser, not the one the stupid man is using. She always sets him streight),and just an all round supper duper soccer mom who does everything. And this goes for all stations.

The man as a dolt has been a fixture on tv since the feminist movement startment. I've been watching these commercials in between sporting events ( the only major network tv I watch), and the husband or man is usually portrayed as big doofus with an iq in single digits and an unquenchable thirst for man-type products. The question you have to ask is why the woman, who is portrayed as an all-wise all-knowing real head of the family, would marry such a moron?
