It isn't just Lifetime, but their whole feminist network of channels, Oxygen, We, LMN - we keep ours tuned to FOXNews, sports, HGTV, FoodTV, DIY, History, Discover, and sometimes TLC.

Wanna bet that when Oprah finally quits her show, she syndicates her re-runs on this channel?

Lifetime and the assorted "womyn's TV" type stations are laughable -- inevitably, every man in their made for TV movies is either a wifebeater or a sympathetic homo.

It's interesting to note, though, that 3/4 of the advertising is for makeup and hair coloring...

I remember once, when I was channel surfing, coming across a bio of the Kennedy's on Lifetime and near the end, the narrator said that the Kennedy legacy had come full circle with the election of the Clintons. This was before the Monica mess.

A corucopia of "based on true" stories depicting the ugly side of masculinity, corporate abuse, and feminine victimhood seems to fill the roster of programming of this channel on a daily basis.

Thanks for the warning. If I ever catch my wife or my mistress watching this channel, I'll beat 'em to a bloody pulp!!

I call it women's victim's television. When my wife was pregnant with our first child she was put on bed rest. I had to forbid her from watching lifetime. All they showed were movies that jacked up her blood pressure. She definitely did not need that.

Simply put...Lifetime is a channel to divide the family...daddy beats wife, daddy beats kids, daddy leaves wife and kids, daddies suck. I think lifetime is worthless NOW tripe.

I turned off the TV 5 years ago. It gives me more time to think about my posts. I never write dull vanities about what's on TV anymore which is a big plus.

I had watched a little bit of LIfetime TV when I didn't have cable and was visiting family. I recall liking some of the programs but haven't watched it at all since I got cable almost 2 mos. ago. I just like to keep it on FOX and may wander on 5-6 other channels at times.

... and they are now raising our cable rates for the 3rd time this year on Basic Service, due to the "increased costs for programming". When I asked my service provider why they explained that they had grown the number of programs offered under the Basic Service. Oh yeah! Now I can pay double my previous rate for the privilege of garbage programming like this. I would drop cable entirely, except that I enjoy some of those treks through history, and the old black & white classics. Otherwise, cable is for the mindless.

I agree with what you say. It is also interesting that others see Lifetime as "the victim channel". That is what my wife and I have called it for several years now. It seems that all the movies are about women victims of something or other.

Good post. What you and others said is true! They definitely have a agenda to convince half of our population that the other half of our population is the enemy and seeks to harm them.

We removed Lifetime from our pre-select channels a year ago. But, you reminded me to call the cable company and complain that we're paying for garbage that should replace it with something worthwhile.
