There is so much to be thankful for today. A President with strong morals and convictions, a nation with freedoms like none other, a forum such as this in which we may express and share views on our unique and unequalled Constitution, just to name a few.

Let's continue to pray for the victims of 9/11, the survivors, our President and his cabinet and for all fellow Freepers everywhere.

Good evening! Welcome to the thread, dansangel, I'm glad to see you here. I want to wish all y'all a Happy Thanksgiving. We just finished up one of the best celebrations I’ve ever experienced. Tonight, we had turkey. Oh, boring you say, but NOT SO. This is the FIRST TIME turkey has been available here. Usually we have a large chicken and pretend! Dinner was most of the favorites followed up with RED VELVET CAKE. No pumpkin pie this year, pumpkins are in short supply.

But the climax of the night was the singing and sharing about what we’re thankful for. I almost cried when Larry said the gift of eyesight. He and his family are going back to the States on Wednesday to get his surgery done. The singing sounded wonderful. Most of us are trained musicians so although voice isn’t our primary instrument at least we can read notes and sight sing. Wonderful! The maid, who was washing dishes stopped her work to listen. I added in the national language that I was very thankful for the work of our househelpers. She smiled at being included.

And I am VERY THANKFUL for you, my friends. You help me keep my sanity and a good perspective. Bless you.

I am thankful for family and friends (especially those who share their lives here on ATRW), a President who leads us and loves America, a military that despite the slings and arrows of the previous administration has done this nation proud, and a nation that is slowly becoming more of what the Lord intended us to be.

May everyone have a wonderful holiday, graced by the knowledge that God indeed intervenes in the affairs of men.
