GROWING SMART
Growing SmartSM is the American Planning Association's multiyear project to draft the next generation of model planning and zoning legislation for the U.S. It is intended to update the Standard City Planning and Zoning Enabling Acts, drafted by an advisory committee of the U.S. Department of Commerce in the 1920s. These two model acts served as the basis for enabling legislation for planning and zoning for much of the nation.
