What an outrage!, I just finished listening to the 2000 Libertarian Candidate for President Harry Browne on Hannity and Colmes. What an OUTRAGE!. Harry Browne said Bush was a liar that was lying to the American people, that we were bombing innocent civilians that did nothing when it cameto the terror attacks, that we did not try to solve the situation by negotiating with the terrorists, that America was a mean bully, that Tony Blair's document proving Osama did it was all a fraud, and the whole world hated us and most people did not like us!
Well, I guess you put me in my place. I would respond to your comments if I had a clue.
Who cares if you are sick of anything...You don't like people quoting the constitution??? So what??? Constitution talk strikes a nerve with you, eh??? You have got nerve hanging around a place called Free Republic and then bashing the people that stand up for and defend the constitution...
You have just proved my point better than anything I could have said.
So humor us and tell us that George is the great defender of the Constitution and Pat B is not...The fact that you don't like Buchanan shows us where you liberals are taking the country to...
You tell us that my previous statement is asinine but yet everyone who knows Pat's and George's positions know that it's true...And if you don't know the position of both men, you're not qualified to discuss the topic...Now talk about asinine...
You have just proved my point better than anything I could have said.
And you have just proven mine...
School yard tactics. LOL
Yes, and it gives us the right to point out that what he says is sedition. His main attack was on the people of the United States, not on Bush.
Oh yes, millions of Americans in the Civil War and WWI and WWII died for the right to do drugs. Anyone who puts the highest value on a 'right' to poison themselves, demonstrates their ignorance of what this country is about.
A recent survey which was answered by over five thousand people on the Libertarian Party's email list showed strong overall support for the War. Among other statistics, 73.7% support bomb and missile attacks on bin Laden and his terrorist network, 85.8% support American special forces units operating covertly in Afghanistan to try to capture bin Laden, 65.1% support putting more substantial numbers of American ground troops in Afghanistan to try to capture bin Laden, and 66.4% support American military attacks against Afghanistan's Taliban government and against Afghan military targets.
It is pretty amusing for the whiners who say 'Ooo - ooo, they want to take away the free speech of the enemy spokesmen', don't place any value on the right of those who disagree with scum like Brown to use their free speech rights to criticize him. It just shows where they are coming from. For them it is better and nobler to defend Bin Laden than to defend this country.
And you are the Browne version of Quisling.
Another example of a glib guy, who can string together a speech, or a book, but hasn't got enough common sense to keep his mouth shut. I think he must have fried his brain, with drugs.
Phuque Harry Browne, and anyone who believes as he seems to. Hopefully this minor philosopher political party will select a better candidate, next time. Truly an embarrasment.
Actually you did. Al Damato, sitting in for Sean, ripped Browne up one side and down the other. Browne was reduced to whining "Can I talk now, is it my turn to talk, you won't let me talk". Al was terrific. Thought he was going to burst a blood vessel or something.
Eagle, like so many in the LP have the paranoid belief that they are the only ones defending constitutional liberties, and that therefore constitutional protections only apply to them. From his attitude on these pages, he has no tolerance at all for opinions that differ with his.
And this is nothing new. In his famous review of Atlas Shrugged in National Review, Whittaker Chambers pointed out this libertarian intolerance. He said that despite the pretense of supporting the rights of all, there was in her writing a voice saying 'to a gas chamber go.' The objectivists were not amused.
'It is better to be feared than to be loved.'
You win the "most asinine" post of the day award. (my post)Congratulations
I'm sorry you and your mentor Pee Wee Herman see fit to insult my post that I cited above. My point, if you had bothered to read it, was no one in office for less than 9 months could have prevented the attack. Not even your God, Pat B.
Darn, I was going to send you a clue but I forgot where I put it. Sorry. BG
