Proof once again that gov't uses the sheeple to achieve their end, without regard to life.

IFC bump

Ben-Eliezer approved the construction despite new U.S. calls for a halt to construction in the settlements.

The construction is for improvement of existing structures (to repair the bullet holes), something that is well within the scope of the Oslo Accords (which says nothing about settlements) and the Mitchell Plan, which has no force of law and is only a recommendation of "confidence-building" measures to be taken by both sides. Can anyone guess what the "confidence-building" recommendation for the Palestinian side was? Show of hands? Does anyone care?

The Israelis have to keep the settlements until they can get something (like PEACE) in exchange for them.

About 4,000 Israelis live in 18 settlements in the Jordan Valley. More than 50 families have left since the outbreak of fighting in September 2000.

Here is a perfect example of how intafada has accomplished with even the Camp David peace accords never could.

Did I mention that the unfulfilled "confidence-building" measure for the Palestinian side was to stop killing Jews? But how silly, why should they when it gets them what they want?

Sorry. No gentiles infidels allowed. Oh, but maybe you could convert?

How clever of you to guess the law that will prevail once the Palestinians achieve their state.

If Jews stopped the bulldozing, it would be much easier for Arafat to stop the fighting.

If the Jews all flew to the moon, it would be no easier for Arafat to stop the fighting, they would just fight against each other.

Noooooo. Since Jews don't look to convert anyone, to us, Gentiles are not infidels.

Why would you think that? Prejudice, or are you just ignorant? If you're not sure, ask the birdie.
