[Non-Sequitur]

I guess that I would use the analogy of a Linus and his security blanket. It meant nothing at all to Charlie Brown. It offended his sister Lucy no end. But it was a comfort to Linus. If all the southerners want to cling to the flag and create some romantic fantasy of what the confederate states would be like right now then I don't honestly care. I don't subscribe to it and when their fantasy spills over into denying reality then I'll try to correct them. But all in all I'm not offended by their clinging to the flag at all.
