I was under the impression that free republic was a conservative board. Does that include letting homosexuals post vanity posts about their lifestyle and, to ask advice regarding said lifestyle when, that lifestyle is opposed to the conservative view?I don't know of a single FReeper who admits to being a homo-sexual (except for Jen XXX, but only 10% of the time), there is one former homo-sexual, Tony the Tigger, but I don't think ex-homo-sexuals should count.
K2Blader put up this vanity post, are you accusing her of being a lesbian? Or are you accusing her of participating in the "homosexual lifestyle" because she doesn't want to get married any time soon? (I heard you guys on another thread say the whole "sexual revolution" was about homo-sexuality, even when the sex in question was hetero-sexual)
And the people making reference to gay marriage on this thread were JOKING, they weren't serious.

The scopic range of responses has been most interesting, to say the least. I tried to present the issue in a very general sense, so as to get a fairly broad sample from the "Freeper pool." :)
To set the record straight (no pun originally intended), I am not homosexual. I believe Marriage is a Sanctified Covenant between one man & one woman.
Marriage is the most important earthly committment one can enter into.
Which is why I find it incomprehensible that some in our society take the concept of marriage so lightly that they essentially expect it to "hatch" within a matter of months, or even years.
And for those who are dyingly curious: No, I do not believe in nor am I "shackin' up," though Yo tengo el Querido más fabuloso.
Thank you All for your comments. I'll have much to choose from the next time any unsuspecting, inurbane person asks the Irksome Q.
Happy Thanksgiving! :)
