While I agree that much of what is in the initial post is true, there are some sweeping generalisations. Not all gay men fit this mould.

I have NO love at all for a militant gay agenda, but I do have some gay friends who don't fit this stereotype. Of course, overt homosexuality, is less obvious here in Ireland than I imagine it is in the US.
