Most animal abuse laws are so weak that the perps get a slap on the wrist.

I wish those laws would change, because many murderers begin their careers by torturing animals.

And I know how you feel. I'd be in jail for what I'd do to the person who laid a hand aon my kitty.

Yes, I have read those studies. I really can't imagaine how anyone could wish to torture someone else's pet , without being mentally deranged. I may wish to kill the damnednable deer, who eat my plants; however , I don't wish to torture them. They'd make a fine venison stew, too. hehehehe

All mammal babies have the same attributes, which is why people are such suckers for them. How on earth could those two boys do such a thing, looking into that tiny, sweet kitten's face ? They must be dead inside, already.

Hey, Bella, we've had our differences, bu believe me, I'd gladly help you, IF some nutter ever tried to do anything to your cat. : - )

Yep. I'm reminded of Heinlein's comment in Starship Troopers (not to be confused with the movie based on the book jacket by that name) comparing lax child-rearing to letting a dog misbehave without punishment, and then shooting it when you finally run out of patience.

Not if I was on that jury.
