I know how everyone here loves Amanpour, plus this article "rankled feminists." So I HAD to post it.

"Mischievous Varadarajan loves the backlash. "I'm baffled and tickled by all the fuss, and the noses out of joint," he told us. 'It was a light, perky piece, rather like the sort of sorbet that cleanses the palate. I'm happy to share the recipe.'"
In other words, he just told them to "eat sh!t."
Good on ya, Varadarajan!

I actually would watch CNN for a good female war correspondent "cat fight".
To: Amore
But a CNN spokesman said Isaacson "never had a conversation with Christiane about the piece in the Journal" before he wrote a letter published yesterday. Meaning what? She wasn't upset? This does not compute.

"As CNN's chief correspondent, Christiane Amanpour has earned her title through tenacity and old-fashioned grit, dodging bullets . . . We all know that in journalism you must climb the PC leftist corporate ladder, truth, the hell with it. So they are not convincing us here that at CNN you have to be earnest.

Oh yes I love her to death! But not as much as I love Jerry Rivers!

Amanpour is a fakey "advocacy jounrnalist" who makes up "news" more than reporting it. She is also a gold-plated
muslim shill and Serbophobe. She used her "advocacy journalism" in Bosnia to demonize the Serbs and set them up for mass murder and loss of their ancestral lands (Krajina, Kosovo, etc.), as well as to promote the world-domination agenda of international islam.
Christiane Amanpour has oceans of Christian blood on her hands. She also had a important part in setting up muslim "Bosnia" as a forward base for the terrorists and fifth columnists who are now attacking America. It is because of the muslim goons whom she supports that there is a war in Afghanistan for her to report on. Any comments about her dress or "lifestyle" are ludicrously irrelevant!!!!
To: Amore
why she won't wear a safari jacket: "I'm not going to give a false impression of danger by wearing one. There isn't a war going on here on the roof of the Marriott." That's the line that really ticked Christiane's defenders off. Meow.

Good boy...hang in there Varadarajan. Ms. Amanpour is a dud with a lisp.

I too prefer Ms. Banfiled's appearance, but they're all liberal as hell. MSNBC actually ran a spot last night where some female, British journalist tried to evoke sympathy for the Taliban soldiers being killed by alliance forces. I almost hurled, and my sweet wife's first reaction (she rarely curses) was to yell "Bull Sh--".

She is under the delusion that she is Laura Croft, grave robber would be a more fitting job for her though.

Varadarajan is the best thing to happen to the Wall Street Journal since they developed the Weekend Journal section on Fridays, and is a MUST READ whenever his work appears, just as necessary to good living as the work of Mark Steyn.

"Equally puzzlingly, her alluring dark looks are thought to convey an anti-Barbie seriousness of mind. "alluring dark looks"? To me she always looks like she could use a good hot bath.

Mischievous Varadarajan loves the backlash. "I'm baffled and tickled by all the fuss, and the noses out of joint," he told us. "It was a light, perky piece, rather like the sort of sorbet that cleanses the palate. I'm happy to share the recipe." This guy has just declared himself an honorary FReeper. :-)

I'm happy to share the recipe.now if ms. amanpour would provide the recipe of how she got her husband to lactate, in that he's the one home with their infant.

Varadarajan prefers MSNBC's Ashleigh Banfield, "the perfect anti-Amanpour," who cut off her blond hair and dyed it brown to blend in better in Pakistan Don't be too impressed with Ashliegh Tunku, she only did that because she knew wasn't going to be able to get a good dye job in Pakistan.
Tunku very much! :-) sorry, could resist that!

Television journalist? Isn't that a contradiction in terms? There is no such thing. Is John Tesh a "television journalist"? Why not, I say! He's as good looking as any of them, got a deep voice, and he can play the keyboard too. Remember, a week or two ago, some British newspaper article posted here referred to one of our blow dry heroes as a "news reader"? I recommend reading Tunku Varadarajan's columns instead of watching these pretty faces.
