Note the comment about few journalists being invited. I think that is not correct, as I am certain that they were invited to a barbecue in August, and several people have commented on the cathedral area. I know Jay Carney and Claire Shipman have been there, as have Carl Cameron, Jiim Angle, Wendell Goler, and others.
So how come this reporter didn't get an invitation? Maybe because of her attitude!!
She is also wrong about the price. Everything I have read says he bought it for approximately $1 million. She tries to make Bush come across as pretentious and nothing could be more further from the truth. He has always shunned the pretensions of wealth.
