I read the damn article. Buchanan HIMSELF realizes that the Israelis have a pretty good reason to distrust the Palestinians. And thus he concludes, despite that Israel realizes that it may in fact be suicidal to give the Palestinians a state, it should do so anyway, because... the Israeli lobby is powerful? Where are you Gen Eisenhower, to tell Israel to just shut up and enjoy more massacres, because that will somehow appease the nutso Islamic masses, despite them still fighting similar battles in the Kashmir, in the Phillipines, Chechnya, etc. etc.?
Where in the article does Pat offer an anti-jewish opinion or resolution to the problems Israel faces in the mideast? He merely offers a bit of wisdom and brilliantly expresses insight that we, as Americans, off handedly dismiss because it comes from the besieged Pat Buchanan. READ his article. Pat is right again.
