Sounds like some sort of justification to me. HP is just a sign of the times. In the old days we had the very Christian Chronicles of Narnia. Today, in the age of anal sex celebrations, PC everywhere, Christian hating media, and the NWO engineers in full blossom, we get anti-Christ HP.

If the devil is discussing good vs evil and saying that good wins out, sure, good wins out, but then it is the devil doing the talking after all. So when you consider the speaker, you have to wonder, hmmmm, well what IS good? Good for the devil is bad for you. Who cares if HP is some sort of morality play. Submerged in all the witchcraft, I am not sure the form doesn't alter the substance, and even then that presupposes the substance you imagine it to be is there.

If it is all just harmless fun, and a quaint morality play, what is with all of the witchcraft? Is witchcraft good? Is this the best setting to have children learn about good vs evil? Can a setting of witchcraft be a reliable setting? Doesn't a witchcraft setting by default distort the message? Why not have a story about a kid who gets involved in witchcraft, only to fall under some sort of demonic curse, later to be rescued by some good friends who go to church on Sunday?

That is good vs evil. HP is Evil 1.0 juxtaposed to Evil 2.0, and when we compare the former to the latter, we are supposed to find out which level of evil is better, and the difference is what gets called good, lol.

I gotta hand it to the satanist Rowling, she sold 200 million books, has a movie, the works. But then "what shall it profit someone if they should gain the whole world, and yet lose their own soul?" "And the devil took Jesus up to a high place, and showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world, and said 'All these will I give to you if you will bow down and worship me.'"

Nothing new about the devil 'rewarding' one of his ambassadors.

I'm on a quest. You seem like a well-versed Christian. What other books, besides Deuteronomy, does The Bible speak about witchcraft?

One of the more serious failings of our current "educational system" is an apparent inability of our "youth" to distinguish between "Fantasy & Reality!"

Apparently, the "alleged Adults" in our culture are UNABLE to teach our children the difference between real-life experience & "Technologically-Enhanced Fantasy!"

"spoosman" apparently believes that our children don't (or Can't) know the meaning of "Let's Pretend!"

How Sad!

"Harry Potter" is a "FAIRY TALE!" Children of past generations ALWAYS understood the nature of a "FAIRY TAIL!!"

"Harry Potter" is a Pretty Good "Fairy Tale" which does what ALL "Fairy Tales" do----It demonstrates the value of "Good vs. Evil!"

"Harry Potter" learns that there IS a value in being "Good!"--that is the "point" of the movie!

"Spooseman,"--in an inverse fashion, you're trying to make a "Sow's Ear" out of a "Silk Purse!"

I agree with you wholeheartedly.

Many are oblivious to the dangers of seemingly "innocent" occultic activities. I liken the fascination with sorcery to the old saying "Curiosity killed the cat". It isn't all innocent as it appears.

For Harry magic is technology. It takes place in an alternate world where God and Satan aren't mentioned. If morality is your concern the movie has a good message. If you want entertainment that caters to the small minority of doctrinaire Christians you'll have to content yourself with The Omega Code.

You can try and make Harry Potter into an evil plot to corrupt the children of this generation, but you'll fail. HP is a story about a boy who has spent the first 11 years of his life being neglected before being taken away to a place where he'll be loved. He has to deal with things left to him by his fate, decide if he wants to be good or bad, and has the burden of trying to save the world while protecting his best friends and all the innocents. Yep- he's bound to make children become wand wavers instead of loyal, brave kids who will give 100% in everything they do.
