Besides this very foolish live sample, Jennings is also appearing in Town Hall meetings, where he is being attacked.

Now, ABC is owned by Disney, whose profits dropped by 82% last quarter. Eisner, the former wunderkind of the entertainment industry (and ego extraordinaire) does NOT like hearing that ABC News is losing viewers! He wants to keep his job!

So Jennings, like Bill Mahr, is on the "get your numbers up or else" tour. This is a good thing.

It lets us know that the ABC people are feeling the heat, AND as a bonus, it is personally humiliating to Peter Jennings.

Yes Miss Marple, I was there last night at the town hall meeting. Interesting, but they are trying to do damage control instead of "self-examination". Its not working and its like the scene in Animal House when everyone in the lecture class starts saying "blow job" a real uprising. Total loss of control. Its fun, cause its been a long time coming.
