What you did was post all the "anti-social" parts of the libertarian platform. How about posting the ENTIRE platform. First off I'm a Republican/libertarian. I generally vote Republican, have been VERY active in the Republian party including electioneering, volunteered at the Bush HQ for Pres, etc.

My basic thinking is that we have BIGGER fish to fry trying to beat the LEFTISTS in this country. We don't have the luxury to argue among ourselves as to how more or less conservative we propose to be. Let's band together - those of us that are ANTI Leftists and when we defeat the Leftists/socialists, then we can discuss all these "minor" differences.

Most Libertarians that I know are more conservative than I am. Of course we haven't developed a definition for "conservative" so we're talking loosely here. They are much more PRO constitution, LESS for Federal Government interference and more PRO personal responsibility. The reason these "party platform" thingies are written up is not that they are PRO drugs, etc., but that they feel it is NOT the FEDERAL governments place to be the overseer of these issues. I tend to agree.

IMO, the Federal Gov. has as it's main responsibility the protection of its citizens from harm - from foreign and domestic intrusion. The Feds take more than $100 Billion from its citizens and it has FAILED in it's primary function.
