Ayoob's comment was taken out of context- shamelessly. He has writte many excellent articles and a couple of books on armed self-defense- he does advocate TRAINING, and THINKING about what you are doing BEFORE you pull a gun on someone.

Hard to argue with that advice..

Ayoob is one of the most pro-2a, pro-USA, pro-constitution people out there. He's among the best, if not the best(Jeff Cooper is the other) trainer there is.

He's spoken at several MCRGO meetings, and supports the right to keep and bear arms, and is the author of a favorite saying to those that don't like gun owners. "Don't go where you are not wanted".

VPC twisted his words around. Ayoob wants you to own and carry a gun, and be trained.

Bad call my friend, old Mass is a New Hampshire cop who knows more about judicious self defense than Carter's got pills. He is a damn rightous individual whose commitment to the Constitution is unquestionable. I for one have met him a few times and he is a god-fearing, God Bless America, dyed in the wool AMERICAN, and happens to love this country more than his own life. Do not, I repeat, do not bad mouth this damn good constitution loving cop.

If anyone out there knows Mass you can imagine the string of expletives he would be using right about now.

Whoa there! You might want to do a bit of checking before you decide to "deport" Mas Ayoob.

He's a renouned expert when it comes to justifiable shooting defense in court. He's a terrific writer (be sure to check out "In The Gravest Extreme"), and a former police officer. He runs the "Lethal Force Institute"

In other words, He's one of the good guys!
