his recent statement on a national news program that Islam "is a very evil and wicked religion."

Graham said his Samaritan's Purse ministry in Boone will continue providing millions of dollars in aid to Muslims in need around the world.

Is it just me?
Or is there a profound contradiction in the two statements above which in itself borders on "evil"?

Those pieces were based on an interview Graham gave last month near Wilkesboro, at the dedication of a chapel in his parents' name, when he said: "We're not attacking Islam but Islam has attacked us. The God of Islam is not the same God. He's not the son of God of the Christian or Judeo-Christian faith. It's a different God and I believe it is a very evil and wicked religion."

I'm with you brother!! It's great to see someone with the guts to tell the truth and then to stand by it in the face of attacks by the P.C. police. Way to go!!

Praise the Lord for Franklin Graham!! I totally agree with him that Islam is wicked and evil and the God they worship is NOT the GOD of the BIBLE. You will know a tree by it's fruit, Jesus said.

Wait a minute. Islam is evil and wicked but nobody cares. Then someone points out the fact that Islam is evil and wicked and everyone jumps all over the guy for saying it.

The sanctimonious athiest libertarian inquisitors will be by shortly to condemn Graham for calling it like it is.

I hope Graham will keep the courage of his convictions and refuse to backtrack. Graham has harmed no one. He has imprisoned no one. He has fined no one. Graham has done nothing but take a firm and resolute stand against evil. Let the heathen howl and rage.

The mullahs' silence speaks volumes. Why are they not denouncing the evil acts of 9/11. Or all the evil done throughout muslim countries in the name of allah?

Why is the press so quick to denounce Catholics and Christians, but do not even ask any questions of muslims?

Remember the persecuted black Christians of the Sudan.

The injustice to them is what informs Graham's understanding of Islam as an institutional religion. No mullahs, imams, or ayatollahs are condemning the violence against black Christians in the Sudan.

Well, duh.

Just for the record, I'm "standing by" my "comments" about how 2+2=4, too.

It also stands in contrast to the message delivered by Graham's father at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance service at the National Cathedral in Washington, on Sept. 14. "We come together today to affirm our conviction that God cares for us, whatever our ethnic, religious or political background may be," Billy Graham preached. "The Bible says that he is `the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles.'"

They read but do not understand what they read. Indeed God does care for us, for all of mankind. (For God so loved the world, He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life John 3:16) He came to save all mankind. That He does not differentiate between people is also true. BUT, that does not mean that He approves that man draw near whichever way man may choose or want to.

For that purpose He sent His Son: to provide us of a way that would bring us to Him. Jesus said He is the Way and nobody goes to the Father except through Him. They do not believe so and deny Christ divinity. Instead they worship a moon god that call for hatred, oppression and war. In Christ we receive the truth and as He said the truth (which is Him, for He also said I am the Way, Truth and Life) sets us free. He offers consolation and comfort to all mankind, that does not mean Islam is peaceful and loving.

In fact, see that peace, is what they lack most, and love is yet to be seen in the attacks of 9/11 and in all the persecutions in which they have slaughtered the defenseless and the inocent because of their faith in Christ.

Never mind, they would never understand what they are set in their hearts to reject and I mean the one who wrote this article.

Just ask this Ali Akbar and any other Moslem what they do to their daughters if they marry a Christian or if they try to become a Christian.

They believe in destroying all 'infidels' and that's all of us who won't follow them. They do not believe in live and let live...they do not believe in allowing a person to have a choice.

They will continue to try to destroy Western civilization because they hate progress, hate free thinking, hate truth.

In a soccer field in Kabul they shot a women in a blue veil--why? For smiling. For laughing. For dreaming that she could have a moment of freedom.

In another soccer field they would kill Madonna.

In another soccer field they would kill Cher.

In another soccer field they would kill Brittany Spears.

In another soccer field they would kill Dolly Parton.

In another soccer field they would kill Doris Day.

In another soccer field they would kill Chris Everett.

In another soccer field they would kill Venus Williams.

They would destroy statues and paintings and buildings and books. They would destroy all that is beautiful. Music by Mozart and the Bolshoi Ballet.

I feel so certain that there is no hope for these people unless they tear down the base on which they have built their 'religion'. You cannot follow a corrupt man without being corrupt. You cannot turn away from evil when your leader was full of hate.

I feel sorry for them. When you see the very young children--the two year olds you can see that they have beauty. Just a few years later it is replaced with ugly hate.

While saying he is called to love people regardless of their faith, evangelist Franklin Graham on Sunday wouldn't back away from his recent statement on a national news program that Islam "is a very evil and wicked religion."

It also stands in contrast to the message delivered by Graham's father at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance service at the National Cathedral in Washington, on Sept. 14. "We come together today to affirm our conviction that God cares for us, whatever our ethnic, religious or political background may be,"

Franklin's statement has not contradicted his father's words at all, neither did Billy Graham endorse the Islamic faith, as the media wish us to believe.

In the past, I have expressed my concerns about the teachings of Islam regarding the treatment of women and the killing of non-Muslims or infidels."

Finally. Someone said it.

It also stands in contrast to the message delivered by Graham's father [...] on Sept. 14. "We come together today to affirm our conviction that God cares for us, whatever our ethnic, religious or political background may be," Billy Graham preached. "The Bible says that he is `the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles.'"

Franklin's comments do NOT contradict what his father said. God does love all people, whether they love Him or not. And President Bush is the one needing the lesson in theology here.

SWL, thank you for posting this.
