That is not necessarily good news. The Al Qaeda foreigners need to die in battle. Every last one of them.

Bad news.
Let the Talitubbies go. But every one of those Al Qaeda types who gets out of there is another Mohammad Atta. They all must die.

30,000 Taliban soldiers surrendered unconditionally after negotiations. After negotiations? Doesn't sound "unconditional" to me...

The UN through its meddling is trying to save Al Queda and keep the world safe for terrorists.
To: ASaneGuy
Yup, we are sure wiping out terrorism alright.

"WOW!! Everyday, the news keeps getting better."Nope. Good news would have been that they are all dead. Do you think they will stop hating you and trying to kill you and your loved ones now? Not a chance. They will be in the streets of your hometown some time in the future .

under the supervision of the UNPresumably this implies there has been some assurance given that there will be no mass execution of POWs -- at least, not without running the risk of war crimes tribunals.

agreed

Ann Coulter said it best: I wouldn't worry too much about the redoubtable Taliban forces. We're sending in men, not Washington Post columnists.

Northern Alliance has achieved total victoryE-news from the Kremlin: so nice to hear that their guys achieved total victory. That's what they want, not OBL and his network. As far as they are concerned UN supervision is OK and also a good cover for them. If 3,000 of OBL's friends slip through pretending to be Taliban, that's OK with Moscow.
I'm waiting for an authoritative source. If the above is true, it is BAD news.
