The 'war slut' was just on CNN as I was flipping the channels and she said that her driver from Greece who was on the road to Jalalabad said that three journalists out of the ones taken from the transport vehicle had been killed by the Taliban.

Geraldo wasn't one of the group that was attacked. I saw him several times (live) this morning on "Fox and Friends."

Hey, I guess in the Taliban, if you can not kill the enemy, what the hell, kill someone.

Geraldo was the first one I saw to report this. Last I heard this morning around 8:30 EST. He said 5 reporters were missing, and one was confirmed to be dead. Supposedly beaten to death by unknown assailants. The Taliban denied responsibility, but with the chaotic state of affairs there, who knows who did this. Having said that, the NA has been more than happy, apparently, to share their victories with the western media.

Here is my thoughts.. maybe the reporters were getting a little too close to Osama Bin Hidin.. so they were offed..

For someone who wants to 'Hunt Osama down and call him a donkeys rear end to his face' as Geraldo has said on Television, my opinion is that he isn't working hard enough.

Geraldo has been making a big deal about his upcoming trip to Afghanistan. But he is waiting until all the Taliban are subdued before he goes.

I heard on the radio this morning that 5 journalists were missing and that gunfire was heard nearby. Is there a news summary on this one yet?

Does this mean that the media's ox has been gored and they will now turn into "Nukem till glow", blood-thirsty warmongers?

Has anyone seen Geraldo lately?

As a matter of fact, I have. He was the one who reported this on Fox news this morning. Ticked me off by repeatedly babbling that this was caused by the lack of governing powers after military strikes "removed the government." Meaning, the Taliban.

My question is, why were these journalists driving through Afghanistan without serious weapons for protection? Geraldo said the convoy was unarmed, and that they were hoping to have strength in numbers. Makes zero sense to me. Zero.

Geraldo has to be crapping in his pants. He wanted to be there. WELCOME. He was upset that he missed the taking down of Kabul. Hmmmm...bigger problems for him on the horizon. When Christianne goes down...CNN will start calling this war pointless and harmful...wait a minute...they are already doing that. Nevermind.

He was on Fox and Friends this am and he was horrible to watch. He must have yammered on for about 5 min (seemed like much longer) about these dead journalists.

He repeated the same things about 3 times interspersed with lots of UH's.

He was trying to make a story that most reporters could have stated in about 20 sec, if they stuck to the facts, into a big important story worthy of him.

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to stomach him on Fox, after this am's report I feel I'll be changing the channel A LOT.

The media probably announced when the convoy would be arriving, and what it consisted of. How long will it take the NA to figure out what a-holes the media folks are?

Good thought. If the reporters are getting close..we can't be that far behind.

Personally speaking, I would say that when covering a war you put your life at risk. That's life.

FWIW, maybe Geraldo is going to find Jimmy Hoffa's body while he's over there..

Suggestion to the Taliban-find 'Osamas Lost Vaults' filled with supposed Nuke secrets and Anthrax documents and say that you need an 'investigative bulldog reporter' to find out what is inside.
