Holland already is conservative with a libertarian bent the dutch have it right let the addicts kill themselves.

I'll second that and go one step further. The Dutch are very keen to market the coffee bars and the Red Light District all of the stifled, yet responsible Americans. Most American tourists tend to respect the freedom they are given while in NL and tend to play it safe while partaking. The worst thing I've ever heard of was one American guy who was so stoned he got run over by a bicycle. I asked him if it was a glancing blow, he replied no, the wheel would have cut him in half at the crotch. Fortunately for him he was hit from behind.

Has anyone calculated how many American dollars are spent in NL? Specifically in the coffee shops and RLD?

Lots of $ are spent in the Netherlands. But most of it on business, not dope.
