Check out the mac option. With Firewire and iMovie you can produce/edit videos real fast. As for word processing packages, Microsoft Office for the Mac is quite solid. Any good Mac Word Processor can save to windows format. Still, if you want more, you can get Virtual PC and have Windows running in a separate window on your Mac and just drag-drop to it.
Mac hardware is just superior. There are plenty of software options to assist in compatibility. Macs are worth a second look. They sure turned my head ...

I used to own a Mac. I owned an iMac and an iBook. However I found that in terms of doing work, and viewing web pages so that I get the standard view of things, I could not do it on a Mac. PC is simply more practical. Mac is good for graphics professionals.
Secondly, I have all this PC software, I am not about to buy it all over again in Mac versions.
