BUSH TO NAME JUSTICE DEPARTMENT AFTER LAWBREAKING ROBERT F. KENNEDY
FRIEND TED KENNEDY CONVINCED G.W. TO HONOR BROTHER
(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the non-partisan public interest law firm that investigates and prosecutes government abuse and corruption, was astonished to learn today that President Bush intends to name the Justice Department after the late Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy.
The ethical and legal standards of the Bush administration will sink low if the President carries through with his plan of naming the nations top law enforcement agency after someone who spent his tenure in the Justice Department trampling on the civil rights of all Americans. It is widely known that Kennedy urged then FBI director J. Edgar Hoover to misuse FBI files to blackmail members of Congress to overlook his brother, President John F. Kennedys, affair with an East German spy. With the possible exception of John Mitchell and Janet Reno, I cannot think of a worse choice, stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel, Larry Klayman.
The Justice Departments own mission statement says the Department represents the citizens of the United States in enforcing the law in the public interest and, yet, Kennedy is perhaps remembered most for three things, the Get Hoffa campaign, which ran roughshod over all legal procedures in a personal vendetta against one man, the wiretapping of civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., along with the aforementioned silencing of a congressional investigation into President John Kennedys affair with alleged East German spy Ellen Romisch.
Yankee legend Joe DiMaggio reportedly refused to shake Kennedys hand at Marilyn Monroes funeral because of his belief that he and his brother had something to do with her untimely death. Klayman opined, Joltin Joe was right then and George W. Bush is wrong now. As for reports today in The Washington Post that George W. Bush has become a close friend of Senator Ted Kennedy- a politician who many believed murdered Mary Jo Kopeche and was instrumental in convincing Bush to name the Justice Department after his brother Robert
the President should learn to choose better people to be associated with, Klayman added.
Larry Klayman -- ROFLMAO --
That's why Larry is so upset; this must be killing his fund raising because he depends on divisiveness, much like Jesse Jackson.
He is the right man, at the right time.
And that is killing Klayman. An honest man who Klayman has to make up stuff about.
It looks like Larry has fallen to the bottom of the barrel and is now a certified gossip monger and bearer of unproven charges.
(I can't believe he brought up Marilyn Monroe......LOL)
If he wasn't after seeing Marilyn, he wasn't really a man. Instead of being glad, he was probably Gay, the opposite of being glad!
Did Klayman want Bush to snub Clinton and make a fool of himself? Perhaps give the liberal media something else to pound Bush with?
Klayman needs to brush up on his HISTORY and his social skills.
And if he wants to play politics, he should learn how things are done in D.C. Maybe he'll get a clue as to why he's so unliked around there.
BTW, where is the PROOF that Kennedy convinced Bush to do this? I heard it was already in the works. What's Klayman's SOURCE????
ol' larr's gotten like Ross's crazy aunt, but he's slipped out of the attic.. or was it the basement that Ross kept her in?....
Based upon the way this PR is written I'd say they read the articles that referred to the Dept. rather than the Building housing the department.

"He is expected to sign a document essentially dedicating the Justice Department building for Robert F. Kennedy," a White House official said on Friday. The official had no further information on the decision.
But Newsweek magazine said Bush and Attorney General John Ashcroft would hold the renaming ceremony on Tuesday, on what would have been the assassinated New York Democratic senator and presidential candidate's 76th birthday.
Kennedy served as U.S. attorney general to his brother, President John F. Kennedy, then became a U.S. senator and was campaigning for the White House himself when he was gunned down by Sirhan Sirhan on June 5, 1968, in Los Angeles after winning the California primary.
There have been unsuccessful efforts in Congress to name the building after Kennedy.
While serving as attorney general from 1961 to 1964, Kennedy gained a reputation for doggedly pursuing organized crime leaders. Ashcroft last month cited that reputation in pledging a similar effort against terrorism.
Newsweek magazine reported on its Internet site that several generations of Kennedys would attend a dedication ceremony.

If he can trade these "magic beans" for a "cow" then he has made the better deal. This is almost like buying Manhattan from the Indians for a bunch of beads...both sides ended up happy in their own way and, until much later, both sides thought they got the best part of the deal.
Gotta' know when to hold 'em and when to fold them.
Historically, blind loyalty has only exacerbated the destruction of humanity. To continue to listen to Judicial Watch is troubling, especially in a time when there is not one reason to doubt the progress against the enemy by the Bush Admin after 9-11.
I do smell a "snake-oil salesman". Maybe Larry should get an infomercial.
Bobby went to Joe McCarthy's funeral.
