Written in 1996...
Tin foil hat stuff back then...
(Meanwhile, perhaps in some isolated valley in Afghanistan, the initiator of all this terror watches with delight)
Somebody saw it coming.

Stop pissing on my Friday night mood.
I'm going to go innoculate myself with the one known antidote for radiation poisoning:
Stolichnaya Vodka.

We must read the same books.

Drink enough and you don't care what happens.
I read a book once on 1001 uses for vodka.
Although I became an expert in theory, in practice I never got past Use #1:
Drink it straight up!

Just called the Psychic Hotline. We should be good for another 1½ years. They suggested I call back then - and many more times in between...

Good suggestions in the end paragraph. Also, don't forget your means of defense. Acquire, learn to use, and buy plenty of ammo for arms. Others may want what you have saved for yourself.

It's going to take a lot more than two nukes to do anything more than REALLY piss us off.

Gin is good.
My girlfriend maintains that every gin drinker that she has ever met, has turned nasty when they drank it.
She swears that it's the gin's properties that cause this.
My theory is that nasty drunks are nasty to begin with. Alcohol only removes their inhibitions and allows their nastiness to reveal itself.
One night, I made her the designated driver, and set out to prove my point. I started drinking Tanqueray straight up, and kept at it all evening until I couldn't see straight. But I never got cross and the smile never left my lips.
She got cranky though. She hates to be wrong, and she hates being the designated driver.

that every gin drinker that she has ever met, has turned nasty when they drank it. Tequila has that nasty reputation.
