Well, here's the *other side* shot of the Memphis Belle- the original, with the artwork that's also carried on one of the actively serving B52s [from Barksdale AFB in Louisiana, I believe, where Col. Morgan of the WWII B17 Memphis Belle first got his wings, and not too long ago was treated to a demonstration flight in one of the B52s from the unit stationed there.

It flys on one of the more recent B1 bombers as well, and on the Memphis 164th Tac Airlift ANG C141B cargo planes [forgive the typo of their aircraft type in my previous post.] And that honored old emblem serves as the basis for the insignia of the next generation of pilots and aircrew, too, who'll be carrying that tradition into the next century and this new millenium.
