Yes, I see a difference.
One way the kids are murdered.
The other way their deaths are "collateral damage"...the result of "defensive" revenge...and it IS revenge
-it sure isn't doing anything to resolve the conflict and it's directed against civilian populations.
But the kids are just as dead either way.
YOU seem to think that it's evil to kill them one way but ok to kill them the other way.

Resoving the conflict ISN'T going to be accomplished by indiscriminate killing,
or by actions which regularly result in "collateral damage", which is what you promote and are trying to justify.
YOUR type is almost identical to the terrorist side. You BOTH think that YOUR ends justifys any means.
And the means that you BOTH choose to use results in excessive amounts of death in the civilian population.
Both of you applaud it and justify it by pointing to the other guy.
