wow thanks canada. Now that the enemy has been for the most part defeated, you decide to fight! Reminds me of Russia declaring war against Japan after they surrendered.

Actually we already have 2,000 troops already in the area. Including 2 frigates, a supply ship, a wing of C-130 aircraft and 200 Joint Division Task Force personal (or, Special Forces to you.) Canada has a Military of roughly 50,000 personal, and although you many others like you, may not be thankful for our contribution of 3,000 troops, some people out there probably are.

By the way, when the 9.11 terrorist attacks happened, Canadians took in tens of thousands of American airline travelers, and kept them comfortable for several days, with some people even taking these travelers into their own homes. Canadians have also contributed large amounts of money to the 9.11 charities, etc.

When friends reach out to help, most people are appreciative, but I guess there's no pleasing some arrogant SOB's.

That's not fair. Nobody expected the Taliban to crumble so quickly.

That's a cheap shot against the Russians -- I'm no fan of the Commies, and, yeah, they jumped in late to grab the Kuriles, but they also lost 20 MILLION fighting the Nazis. Much as we Americans love to crow about how we "saved everyone's asses" in WWII, the Nazis were ground down by the Russians more than anyone else.

Ease up & learn some history before you go off. I met Canadians in the US Army who signed up for Vietnam! They're OK in my Book. Love the VAN DOOS: had a great time up at the Citadel in Quebec City.

Hey dude, I wouldn't be crowing too loud. America didn't get into WW1 until 1917 (it started in August of 1914), and didn't get into WW2 until Dec 8th, 1941 and the war started on 30 Sept. 1939. So you might want to rethink your position on that.

From an American Serviceman.
