The discovery of the detailed bomb-making instructions, along with studies into chemical and nuclear devices, confirms the West's worst fears and raises the spectre of plans for an attack that would far exceed the September 11 atrocities in scale and gravity. Nuclear experts say the design suggests that bin Laden may be working on a fission device, similar to Fat Man, the bomb dropped on Nagasaki. However, they emphasised that it was extremely difficult to build a viable warhead.

Bin Laden has said it is his "religious duty" to obtain a nuclear bomb.

It's time for him and his terrorist network to go!

Did they make note on whether or not this bomb was being kept in an office in Harlem?

Oh, you mean that bomb? C'mon. You can get those plans on the Internet! Now, if it's our W-88 warhead, then I'd worry...because it would mean they'd have been working with the Chinese.

Or that he was a large contributor to the DNC in 1996.

preliminary research on the creation of a thermonuclear device

yah, right. strapped to the back of a camel, no doubt.
if we ignore these wackos long enough, though, they will develop some nasty stuff.

iran and north korea will lead that pack. heads up.

in the meantime, on to samolia. ham sammiches for all!

Sounds like your basic Diaperhead-fanatic bedtime reading material to me.

If this butthole had a nuke, he wouldn't have needed to steal 4 of our planes to attack 3 of our buildings.

How many of his planes did we have to steal to wipe out his whole world?

A high school chemistry teacher of mine was replied to by a student who was asked why he wanted to learn Chemistry. The student replied rather jokingly "With Chemistry and Physics, I can learn how to build a Nuclear bomb", My teacher responded to this by saying, "Your local Library can help you with that more than I can".

Ask yourself this. If you don't have any fissionable material and your not constructing an a-bomb what the hell do you need a nuclear scientist for? Feasibility studies. Perhaps. I would think that feasability studies could be performed in Pakistan. I am thinking they were doing something they NEEDED to be THERE for.

I dunno but if I am going to costruct a device I would call up my friendly neighborhood Pakistani nuclear scientist and ask him what I need, and he would tell me. No reason for him to visit (and it would be DANGEROUS for HIM to VISIT) until I have what HE needs.

Just a thought.. But let's refer to the Pakistanit nuclear scientist BUMP list:

Two Pakistani nuclear scientists acknowledge meeting Osama bin Laden

Detained Pakistani Nuclear Scientist Admitted to Hospital After Chest Pains

The above article is about Sultan Bashir-ud-Din Mehmood and the article says:

"Mehmood, one of Pakistan's top nuclear scientists, played a crucial role in helping the nation become a nuclear power in the 1990s"

I wonder if it was something he did while in Afghanistan that is causing him chest pains now.

Pakistani Nuclear Scientists May Have Helped Taliban

Pakistani nuclear scientists questioned about ties to Taliban leader

Let's face it. If you are just going to pass on information to Al Qaeda you don't need need to COME to Afghanistan. It would be stupid of you to do so. The only reason to come is if they have something to show you or more likely something for you to work on.

What do you want to bet that these jokers pulled something off the internet like these 2 links just to look like big stuff? Of course these idiots might have tried this:

Nice job. Shoot, as a newbie I am shamed. Maybe I will get my own breaking news post someday. The only question I had is how come we did not know where Osama's safe house was BEFORE we got into Kabul. If our intellegience departments had not been ransacked years ago we might have blown ole Bin Ladin an his plans to kingdom come.

The idea that a madman who plotted the WTC disaster is even thinking of clean fission bombs or dirty bombs makes me lose sleep at night.Bummer.

I am no longer a "breaking news virgin" either. The only one I've ever had was the Boeing move of headquarters out of Seattle. But then, I live here, so I had an advantage on that one. Do you live in Kabul?

He'll need an extra large camel to deliver that hummer.

Which makes it important to take him out. I do not care about the methods anymore. We do a 187 on him, and we do it good. Stuff a slice of ham or two down his mouth, then take him to some ditch off an interstate, and leave him to the vultures.

Oh, wait, PETA may have something to say about leaving this creep out for the vultures.

One of the Pakistani nuclear scientists helped him design flour mills. Couldn't that be a part of a nuclear project such as the one Iraq was trying that was described in the book Brighter than the Baghdad Sun?

"With this information, we now must kill every Taliban member, al-Qaeda member, those who have financed and provided shelter to these Islamic terrorists and of course OBL, Omar, their scientists and the rest of the Islamic Terrorists in other Islamic states. We must not leave a single one of these Islamic asps to plot more violence on us!"

gee, I got that good old warm and fuzzy feeling reading that paragraph!
