Putin Arrives at Bush's Texas Ranch

CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin (news - web sites) to his Texas ranch on Wednesday in a light rain that he described as a good omen for the visit.

``The president brought rain for which we are always grateful in the state of Texas,'' Bush shouted to reporters from behind the wheel of his white Ford pickup truck with Putin at his side.

Putin and his wife, Lyudmila, arrived at the ranch aboard a presidential Marine One helicopter. Bush and his wife, Laura, greeted them at the helicopter then all four climbed into the pickup, which had two rows of seats.

``I still know how to drive,'' said Bush, who is more accustomed to being driven around in a limousine.

He planned to show Putin some sights on his ranch.

``We're going to take a tour. I want to show him some of my favorite spots on the ranch,'' Bush said.

OooooEeeeeee, gal, quite a view!

Bush and Putin, two real guys, have a better chance of normalizing relations between our countries than the former drugged out gasbag presidential embarrassments. Life is good.

Anybody remember Mrs. Brezchnev (sp?)?

You mean the one who looked like a hot-water heater? Nah, that was Maddie Albright.

GW: "Howdy, Mr Putin, welcome to God's country. Pull up a seat and take your boots off while I get you an ice cold longneck. Better plan on turnin' in early, we've got chores to do first thing in the morning, startin' with cuttin' some cedar. After that we'll sit down over some good Tex-Mex and talk about this ABM thing...."

Heheheheh, you can tell from that grin on Putin's face that he's thinking, "man, this is great!" If Dubya's on the ball he'll make sure there's a nice new pickup truck delivered to Putin's Moscow residence as a "welcome back home" gift from the American people.

"Lyudmila handed Mrs. Bush a flower as they arrived."

Handed her a flower?!#@? That's a Yellow Rose for the Yellow Rose of Texas...a bunch of uneducated twits. Don't they know nuthin'?
