KPRC via Yahoo! ^ | Wednesday November 14

Putin arrived at about 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at Ellington Field, where Mayor Lee Brown presented him with a key to the Bayou City.

Putin was then airlifted by helicopter to Rice University where he was the guest speaker at the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy.

Former President George Bush and former Secretary of State Baker, for whom the institute is named, introduced Putin who spoke about economic issues.

After his speech, Putin will head to President George W. Bush (news - web sites)'s ranch in Crawford, Texas, where he will attend a state dinner in his honor.

"The best diplomacy starts with getting to know each other," the younger Bush said. "And I want him to know my values and I want to know his values."

The American president and Putin met for three hours Tuesday at the White House and discussed dismantling weapons from the Cold War.

President Bush said that he's ready to reduce nuclear warheads by two-thirds over the next 10 years.

Putin said that he'll try to match the kind of cuts President Bush is willing to make in the U.S. long-range nuclear arsenal. He said that he'll "try to respond in kind."

The two world leaders are also expected to discuss the terrorist attacks and the current strikes in Afghanistan

Yes, but Vlad could use some of those Judo moves on you and you will think he looks very tall from the floor. Heh heh. Ahem...he should wear casual clothes more often.

Absolutely, he looks good - - he looks better in plain clothes than in suits.

Someone else made this comment as well, and I agree. He does have a body like a dancer, very lithe and fluid.
