It seems to me that the Taliban is largely defeated. Our new focus, and our main threat, must be the al-Queda terrorist network. Afganistan still probably has many members within its borders who will be difficult to identify and eliminate. Think about it - if we are having a difficult time sorting out who amongst the 1,000+ people under arrest in America are terrorists, imagine how hard it will be to sort out the "good guys" from the "bad" in Afganistan.

Anyway, once we root out the evil doers in Afganistan we must immediately set our sites on other nations harboring al-Queda operatives. I doubt the DOD will be as active in these efforts and suspect (hope) a newly embolden CIA will quietly begin killing people.
