I can give my opinion on the standards of California. There is an increased rate of divorce and "dead beat dads" in our state.

In California, as elsewhere, more divorces are initiated by women than by men. The idea of disposable marriages, husbands, and fathers is more pernicious among women than men. I'm not defending deadbeats, I'm a full-time single Dad with a semi-deadbeat ex whose load I have to carry. She took disposable even a step further.

But if so many women didn't so cavalierly take advantage of the no-fault divorce laws, we'd see a lot less dead-beat dads. Women who divorce for vague "irreconcilable differences" are coddled by our culture, laws, and judges.

They should be recognized for what they really are: deadbeat wives and runaway moms.

I agree with your point on deadbeat moms as well. I think this actually supports the fact that these women vote haphazardly. It's more time consuming to be aware of the issues, candidates, and inventory of your values and beliefs.

These women would obviously have to be the shallowest minded of all! Anyone, (man or women), that would abandon their own flesh and blood, should be charged with a felony...then they would have their voting rights taken away.

I don't know how the District attorneys office for your county handles the deadbeat issue, but ours has "Holiday Sweeps". There is no discrimination with the sex of the deadbeat parent. If you didn't pay, you're arrested and put into the county jail. There are downsides, being in jail provides no income. Which doesn't help the responsible parent out financially either. Hence, a catch 22. I'm glad your child or children have at least one awesome parent. Good luck!:^)

As a twice-divorced single dad, I say:

Can a brother get a Amen?
