The number one thing standing between a woman and the abortionist is her free will.

That is very true, but the other side is true also...I have counselled many women traumatized by the realization of what they have done by ordering up an abortion

...and so often they tell me, right up to the time of the act itself, they harbor the fantasy that the father will come in, and rescue them from themselves, and save the baby.

The feminist crime in this is the legal and social posture that the "right thing" for the man to do is to stand back and let the woman "choose."

The unethical shit-hook lawyers have denied a man the right to save his own baby's life...and the whores and sluts of NOW have insured that society will exert tremendous pressure from grade school on up to pressure the man to betray hmself and his family.

I know full well there are many predatory men who consider fertilizing an egg as about the same as bagging a deer on the opening day of hunting season. And these jerks are to be abhored.

But the fact remains, they are playing out exactly the role that the "women's movement" wants them to play; and for which they have been indoctrinated by the government-controlled schools, the Mainline "Christian" brothels, and the media.

For the women the guilt begins during the procedure most of the time. They realize they're doing something horribly wrong and by that time can't get out of it. I've talked to gals years after the fact as well. It affects the way they see themselves and find they're unable to give their all in a committed relationship. The sense of loss and doom they feel is sometimes overwhelming. That's just the beginning. There's also physical problems dealing with abortion. Women, after being scraped sometimes multiple times, develop lesions in their uterus and sometimes become infertile. Sometimes the physcial problems must be resolved via hysterectomy. Some may say this would be their just reward for taking the life of a baby. I know women who have had abortions and then carried a child to full term. Grace is receiving something you don't deserve. And mercy. And forgiveness.

Please know that women can change their hearts with regard to abortion. This change comes from the learning and recognizing the truth of what they've done, owning up to it, and turning away from it (meaning to never do it again). Only then can emotional healing begin to take place.

Men who didn't get a choice in the abortion (which is most) deal with guilt (for not being able to do anything about it) and a great sense of loss.

I've never talked with the group of men who demanded abortions. They're in a class all by themselves...as are the minority of women who have no conscience for what they've done. No scruples...no decency...no regard for human life.

Good post and good info Rutabega. Interresting to hear an honest woman discuss this issue. Most your age avoid or refuse to defend their pro-choice position.

I have a gut feeling you are right about the rape/abortion issue. Most women would not get an abortion for an accidental pregnancy. But in the case of a rape pregnancy they want the option. I've known a couple young ladies that were raped and one of their big fears was that they were pregnant.

But you know, the answer to the women's fear of rape caused pregnancy is not abortion, it's rape prevention! Ultimately, if we were more effective at stopping rape, jailing rapists and protecting the victims, would'nt some of the insecurity disappear? So, you see, the real answer to the rape/pregnancy problem is a conservative hard-line appraoch to crime, not the weasley, liberal policies that put the women in the position that they must deal with the consequences of rape while the rapist is dealt with lightly, if caught at all.

The irony is that women tend to vote for the politics that tend to hurt them, thinking they are voting for politicians that will help them!

Women and children need good husbands and fathers in their lives, and absent that, they'll shack up with Uncle Sam. It's called self-preservation, and while not totally honorable, is completely understandable.

There's a minority of women who make the abortion decision on their own. So you're right..the abortion decision is usually encouraged or demanded or threatened in another way, by the man.

But if so many women didn't so cavalierly take advantage of the no-fault divorce laws, we'd see a lot less dead-beat dads. Women who divorce for vague "irreconcilable differences" are coddled by our culture, laws, and judges. They should be recognized for what they really are: deadbeat wives and runaway moms.

I have heard and seen so many divorce nightmares and its always the kids who get totally messed up and its both parents that do it to them.

I have also. Usually it's money that is being fought over and the kids are used as pawns. Sometimes the woman has no career or job skills and is terrified of the loss of income she now faces, alimony was eliminated so her "rights" to a lifestyle are completely gone, sometimes for the reason that another woman has entered the picture. The bitterness is forced down to the kids who are then pulled apart and forced to take sides, often against their father which is unfair to them. And so many times the woman will choose a life of foodstamps and welfare which is also harmful to them.

Incidentally, noble men still legally marry in spite of all this. Noble women who legally marry reject the government/legal power at their disposal and submit to their men, so that the men need not fear them and can remain men. Still, even in that agreement, the man's manliness is based on the grant given him by the female, so she still has the power. I guess the noble man just has to take his chances and go with it. ;o)

I don't know the statistics, so this is just my opinion, but I think probably most women are more conservative than liberal. It's just that the more conservative ones aren't as active in politics, and many don't vote.

Aw, shucks. Give her the gold-hearted misplaced optimism award. Unfortunately, in the US at-large, you are wrong. There are in fact more women who consistently vote Democratic. Hence the thread we're in right now...

I have to admit that I am a shameless anachronism. I believe that women should be cherished and loved. I cannot understand men who would treat women that way. I cannot fathom the thinking process that would just use women and discard them the way that many men do today. Many men help women to kill their children, and use women for their own selfish desires.

If women are the type that would do those things, at least the men should have enough honor and self-respect not to do those things. If a man or woman does not have honor and self-respect, they have nothing. And that is what I cannot understand about many people. I do not understand how they can live with themselves. I do not understand them at all.
