P.S. I know on another thread, another topic, somone accused you of misrepresenting the facts and it turned out you were telling the truth so I will most definitely give you the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Thanks. I was a senior in HS making a couple bucks extra taking pictures and stringing for the New Haven Register. Covered a speech at the Yale Law school by Doctor Benjamin Spock. William Sloan Coffin and a couple Panthers were there and spoke. All the big shots and wannabees attended and planned out future action. I would be surprised if Her Highness was not in the room(small crowd, probably 200). This was shortly before the rally on the green which drew over 7,000. What is omitted from this account is all this activity was not only in defense of the Panthers, it was anti-war activity. In fact, that, in my opinion, was the driving force behind it all. None of the suburban kids would have come into New Haven to rally in favor of the Panthers. They were more interested in rallying to end the draft (as well as getting high and finding a date, the protest was more a social event than a protest).

Here is where the confusion comes in. The left is claiming that saying Hillary "defended" the Panthers means she legally defended them. She didn't. She wasn't a lawyer at the time. But she did help out a lawyer who did. And no, she wasn't helping a cause in which she did not believe as lawyers and lawyers aids do. Her work on the Yale newspaper makes very clear where her politics were at the time.
