It's beautiful, isn't it? The smiles on the women's faces, seen for the first time in 5 years, as they walk out of their prison/homes? The men unwinding their mandatory turbans and lining up at the barber shop? The children laughing and flying those forbidden kites? The music, banned by the Taliban, now blaring from a heretofore hidden boombox? The joy is palpable, and I can't help but smile myself. Thank you George W. Bush, for your handling of this war against the terrorists. The Afghan people are not our enemies. The Taliban is the enemy of both of our countries.
