A picture of an N.A. soldier north of Kabul. Taken a few days ago, but I think it is a classic.

It's not very new...as he is not wearing a Russian army uniform.

What is the point of your post #8? The word incoherent comes to mind.

that was one of the first things I noticed.

Afganis are physically very attractive people. I remember a striking photo of an Afgani girl which was on the cover of National Geographic. Beautiful and green eyed. They made posters of her. I understand that National Geographic searched for her for a long time, but could never find her.
The women are probably afraid to take off their burquas becasue they have lived in a culture in which they were responsible for how the men behaved. It would be scary to take off protection unless the men have all had a cultural sea-change and would not sexually attack them.

I know the exact cover you are speaking of, I had that issue and still may....
She was wearing a deep red cloth over her head, and she was a beatiful girl with striking eyes.

There wasnt a "graphic" photo in the whole lot.
A little PC overboard.

These pictures are the perfect bookends for the pictures from 9/11 showing the Trade Towers burning, the Pentagon in ruins, and dead Americans on the streets.
How ya feelin' now, you sniveling, chickensh!t sons of batches? And we ain't done yet. In fact, we're just getting a good head of steam ...
By the way, these "martyrs" may be enjoying an orgy in heaven, but we know for a FACT that their stinking, rotting carcasses are littering the streets of Kabul. Anyone else wanna take their chances?

Abuse button hit.
Regarding #8 This unintelligible link has been posted in numerous threads. That's bad enough. What's worse is that it activates unwanted popups. Please advise him to 1) lay off the spam postings, and 2) never link to a popup site without due warning.

Suppose those mobs of Pakistani volunteers are still clamoring to get across the border to fight for Osama and the Taliban? I heard tonight that the ones left behind ARE the ones who came to fight for the Taliban from other countries; the Talban ran and left the Pakistanis and Arabs behind.

I believe that was published in '85 or the end of '84.
