I found this to be rather interesting, even for our politics of today. We often see how some people are no longer willing to work, but think that something is owed to them. Another thing said in this movie by the Duke was that he didn't give jobs, but he hired men. As long as one was willing to do a fair days works, he will pay him a fair days wage. In this way they don't give each other anything, and they can both hold thier heads high with honor. Another lesson, if you are able, stay armed.
