I think it is still too early to declare victory, but I think you are right. I was in Europe recently and had a cab driver tell me that Americans were not good soldiers all we could do was bomb, bomb, bomb. This from a European!? If we are successful in Afghanistan in removing the Taleban (I don't really care about the peace afterward) and after we skunked Saddam Hussein in the "mother of all battles" when do we get some respect as the best fighting force in the world (which we are).
