You just got me thinking. I am taking a flight to Florida on Christmas and am seriously thinking about driving. I have to take a flight out of JFK too which scares me. Security stinks in NY Airports.

Maybe you should consider Amtrak's Autotrain. Drive to Lorton, VA, south of DC, let them load up your car, and sleep overnight in comfort with arrival the next day in Sanford, FL, near Orlando.
