Is that a bag of artwork....or are you just happy to see me?

Go, Bob Rowan! Smart to not take the discussion bait. Actions speak plenty loud. Just sit tight lipped and watch the circus unfold.
A question: any NEA ( welfare for bad artists) money involved?
To: sarcasm
I'm a few thousand miles from boulder but my heart is with Mr. Rowan and I would have done the same thing.
This "Artist" is a DICKHEAD, infatuated with the Penis",and she certainly deserves no space in the Library, she should get a little space for her "work" and her brain in the Toilet.
If Mr. Rowan needs a contribution toward court costs please post.
Thank You Mr. Rowan.

Only a week before, talk radio hosts thrashed the library for refusing to make a patriotic display of an American flag. Then they learned the penises had quietly been shown since October. sounds like there are a still lot of wieners at the library that aren't ceramic.

Bravo Mr Rowan. How refreshing these sickos' aberrations are exposed.
The pseudo phallic "artist" is in the same category as ex-president Clinton -
self-absorbed individuals who can't see past their own delusional quirks.
I congratulate Mr Rowan. I would not have taken the same action he did.
But his taking offense at these sick minds is exactly the right response.

We need to inundate the Boulder PD and City Attorney with support for this guy. This is exactly what needs to start happening when this laughable "art" is shoved in our faces. You can be arrested for showing a Hustler to a 10-year-old, but if you're an "artist," you can display genitalia in a public place for any and all to see, and do so with impunity.
This is an outrage, and exactly what the courageous Mr. Rowan said: a slap in the face of common decency.
Come on, folks. Let's FReep these Boulder creeps.

It may be of interest to note that TV stations that have picked up this story are not mentioning the whole flag controversy -
As an Example of coverage

Can't they force there removal under the porn laws? After all this is a porn exhibit where CHILDREN frequent.

I'd say it took some balls, indeed, good work.

I recall reading in Gary Aldrich's book that the former first lady decorated the White House Christmas tree with phallic symbols. They had actually solicited decorations in that vein, if I recall correctly.

Smart to not take the discussion bait. Especially since the artistic merit of her work is a side issue. If he was going to have a "discussion" (or public debate ;-) it should be with the library, on the question "Why do you think an American flag is too offensive to hang, but a clothesline of dildoes is not?"
To: sarcasm
BRAVO!!...Mr.Rowan!!
...Good mercy, that was courageous!
..Putting himself at the mercy of the liberal court system in that area!
Bless him....I hope he wins bigtime!!....
Would that we all had this kind of spunk!
Ms. ...'I think I'm an artist, so I can do anything'... no doubt had zero qualms about who she offended.....and in a public library!!!!
....This is our country!...Let's reclaim the high moral ground!!
To: IronJack
Boulder seems to be "Berkley in the Rockies". Good luck fighting these commies.
To: sarcasm
The man said that he was very offended by the artwork, and intended to return it to the artist but wanted to remove it from the library, according to police.
The art display was part of an exhibit at the library called, "Art Triumphs Over Violence," sponsored by the Boulder County Safehouse in honor of Domestic Violence Awarness Month.
From the Bakersfield TV news you would think this guy was just some right wing religious person who wanted to squelch freedom of speech based only on his view of the world. It is Amazing the spin media is putting on this by leaving out the information on the flag being banned there....ba$tards

Bin Laden would show the ladies freedom of speech....And a few other "niceties" they might not like.
