It's good to hear that, NorthernRight. I correspond with several Canadians on another board and, while they are all supportive of the US, there is a good deal of hand-wringing and concern about Afghan civilians (like the Taliban really is concerned about it's own citizens). Granted the folks I talk to are mostly college age so maybe that explains the slant to the left. Many are of the opinion we should look for a non-military solution, even in light of the events of Sept. 11.

Next time one of these young leftists pines for a "non-military" solution, ask him how he feels about the "non-military" solution we imposed in Iraq.

Economic sanctions can cause mass destruction on the same scale as our daisy cutters. If anything, sanctions are less precise and tend disproportionately to harm the innocent.
