People are getting pretty worked up here over trivia. If the media reported that the price of eggs had gone up in Bolivia, I predict one wouldn't see the same sort of response on FR.

[All else is trivia.] People are getting pretty worked up here over trivia. If the media reported that the price of eggs had gone up in Bolivia, I predict one wouldn't see the same sort of response on FR.

That's because statements regarding trivia such as the price of eggs in Bolivia cannot (at least without further information) be spun to serve some biased political agenda. Statements regarding trivia such as how many "ballots were cast for Gore, according to Definition X of 'ballot cast for Gore'" can be spun, and are being spun, to serve a biased political agenda.

Which is why some folks on FR are ticked off. It's very understandable to be ticked off when presented with blatantly biased lying spun propaganda dressed up as a news report.
