I first heard about Rush soon after the Gulf War from an ad in the local paper: "Listen to what I think today!" "And who the Hell are you?" I thought. Then I read an article about him in which he was quoted as saying something to the effect that if you wanted to support black progress, buy a box of Wheaties with Michael Jordan on it. Had to check him out. The Kennedy updates had me hooked.
I was a Democrat then. I'm a Republican now.
Rush may never hear me, but I can hear him just fine, and that's all that matters.
Thanks, Rush!

Kudo's to Rush. A real patriot. A real American. And proud of it.
Truth will win out. Rush speaks truth and I count on him to expose the liars.

rush is part entertainment and part conservative voice. without entertainment, we would soon get bored and go to a liberal commentator -- the only kind left (no pun intended). he is full of himself probably part because he is and part because of the entertainment value.
i personally like how he uses liberal thought processes to debunk liberal arguments. eg -- recent shows on smokers dieing because of no smoking laws.

Carlo, you are not just another 'pretty chef'. Rush changed the face of conservatism forever. He gave us a VOICE - literally we had no outlet to express our opinion in a way beyond letters to the editor, etc. It cannot be easy to be labeled the 'most dangerous man in America' and to have the President of the US (Clinton) brand you responsible for the Oklahoma City bombing.
I listen to him nearly every day. One of the things the press has always missed about Rush, is that many of us listen because Rush ECHOES our opinion, not that we parrot HIS opinion.

It's time to stand up for him, he did as much for us, for all these years!

I can remember hearing Rush for the first time in the Winter of 1991-'92. I was a student at the University of Louisville, where a conservative chick in one of my classes told me about Limbaugh.
And then I saw C-SPAN broadcast one of Rush's shows shortly thereafter. It was amidst the '92 primaries and, at the time, Rush was actually favoring Pat Buchanan OVER the sitting president, George H.W. Bush until a rare guest showed up on Rush's program to change his mind in one Dan Quayle.
I will always let people know that Rush got me started in my Republican/conservative activism. Back THEN, he was on the cutting edge. He definitely was the innovator of talk radio. With that said, however, I now prefer to listen to other radio hosts like Michael Savage and Alex Jones. I still listen to Rush on occasion when my work schedule allows.

If Rush didn't exist, I would try to invent him.
And fail.
Rock on, Rush.

my brother claims that zogby owes his success to limbaugh. without rush, nobody would have paid much attention to his new polling techniques.
on a similar note, i wonder if rush would have been as popular if he had not had the buffoon to lampoon for 8 long, hard, terrible, arduous, torturous, value-vacuum-packed, liberal, leftist, spinful years

Right on! Rush is better than ever. Welcome back, to our great Bo Snerdly, too.

"Rush may never hear me, but I can hear him just fine, and that's all that matters. Thanks, Rush!" I ditto that emotion...I could listen to him for hours even more so today. His voice has gained a special excited lively quality that reminds
me of opening presents on Christmas Day, or homecoming after a long time away from loved ones.
I'm thinking when one cannot hear how we sound to others one tends more to speak from the heart. And, his voice reflects that.
He is a soulman of the most highest sterling!
It is not necessary for me to listen to his callers in order to enjoy his program, just his alone makes the day start out so good and fine.

Been listening since his Sacremento show in the 80's. Rush has done more for conservatism than anyone since Ronald Reagan.

What I find so fascinating about Rush and his influence is that the left has never even attempted to promote a radio host who could be Rush's counterpart for the left's side of the aisle.

It is stated SO well. I first heard Rush in '90 during the Thomas hearings and Anita Hill controversy. He saved Thomas' nomination imho. I became an instant fan. God Bless Rush!

"If Rush didn't exist, I would try to invent him."
The liberals have tried repeatedly to come up with an antidote. The problem they have is getting someone to listen.
For the most part they just repeat the DNC talking points for the week and try to apply their fuzzy logic to current events. Even liberals can't stand to hear their BS for more than a few minutes. A radio program without listeners .......
I'll give 'em credit, though, they have managed to install liberal idiots in very influential places. EG:schools, newspapers, TV and movie producers.
